February 24 reflects a full year since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Join us as we meet with local and international experts to discuss a year in review, what has changed, what the future holds, and how the international community has a whole has been wholly shifted as a result. We stand strong with Ukraine. Topics include issues of reconstruction, and Ukraine's needs from the international community, local sister cities, NATO “Marshall fund” involvement. Special guest includes Medical Leadership Representative from Ukraine's Ministry of Health, Ministry of Veterans Affairs hosted by the San Antonio Council for International Visitors.

Our Mission

The mission of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio is to promote public understanding of world affairs and United States foreign policy, and to enhance the ability of its citizens and future leaders to participate in a global community. We accomplish our mission by presenting a lecture series, holding receptions, organizing discussion groups, sponsoring educational outreach programs, and hosting deliberative sessions for young professionals.
