A History of Genocide

Join us on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Holocaust Memorial Museum for a special program on the heartbreaking history of Genocide throughout the centuries. Joined by Provie Umugwaneza who will discuss her own battles and history during 1994 Genocide against Tutsis in Rwanda, Arslan Hidayat representing the modern day genocide of the Uyghur population in China, and Varda Ratner showcasing the devastating effects of the Holocaust.

A small reception will be held before the program with snacks and assorted drinks. 

Our Mission

The mission of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio is to promote public understanding of world affairs and United States foreign policy, and to enhance the ability of its citizens and future leaders to participate in a global community. We accomplish our mission by presenting a lecture series, holding receptions, organizing discussion groups, sponsoring educational outreach programs, and hosting deliberative sessions for young professionals.
