Join the World Affairs Council and City of San Antonio International Relations Office for the annual Foreign Diplomat Reception, this time hosted in the beautiful new University of the Incarnate Word SEC Ballroom! We will welcome members of the Texas Diplomatic Corps, as well as members of the San Antonio community. We hope that you will join us for this unique networking opportunity.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Larry Schlesinger, President and CEO of Texas Biomedical Institute. Larry S. Schlesinger, MD, is an internationally recognized authority in infectious diseases with a particular interest in tuberculosis and lung biology. As a physician scientist, his studies focus on the pathogenesis of tuberculosis and other airborne infectious agents that subvert lung immune mechanisms. This event will also be the closing reception for the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation’s Tom C. Frost International Business Forum. Interested attendees can find more information here.

The mission of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio is to promote public understanding of world affairs and United States foreign policy, and to enhance the ability of its citizens and future leaders to participate in a global community. We accomplish our mission by presenting a lecture series, holding receptions, organizing discussion groups, sponsoring educational outreach programs, and hosting deliberative sessions for young professionals.
