Welcome back to the World Affairs Council of San Antonio' very own book club! Join us each month as we read, discuss, and analyze important books of our time. Read along or join at the end of the month for an in-depth discussion of the book. Join at your leisure. All are welcome!

This May will feature the book Homelands: Four Friends, Two Countries, and the Fate of the Great Mexican-American Migration by Alfredo Corchado. This book merges the political and the personal, telling the story of the last great Mexican migration through the eyes of four friends from the 1970s to modern day. It is the narrative of the United States in a painful economic and political transition. Homelands is a must-read to understand the past and future of the immigrant story in the United States, and the role of Mexicans in shaping America's history.
